(An) interactive graphics system for logic circuit diagrams

Abstract

An interactive graphics system for drawing logic circuit diagrams is developed, and its configuration, features, and operations are described in this thesis. The system is constructed with a microcomputer system, equipped with a digitizer and a graphic terminal as the major I/O devices. Some larger system may be needed in order to incorporate many powerful features of a Design Automation system, and approaches in DA systems are described. The system showed good results for small digital systems on a stand-alone basis, and possible enhancements of the system for the design of the larger digital systems are proposed.
