(An) implementation study on one variable query processing

Abstract

One variable query processing on a relational database was studied and implemented. As a query language, QUEL was chosen. The system accepts only one variable RETRIEVE queries in QUEL. The LR parsing technique was used to analyze queries syntactically. The one variable query processor was designed. Further extension was considered in design time. The first phase of the system would be expanded with slight modifications. The system was implemented on Four-Phase computer.
