This thesis represents a interactive graphics system for single-user, using a descriptive command language. This system considers pictorial data as a set, and defines primitive structure between data and picture parts. Primitive structure may represent the textual string as well as two- or three-dimensional geometric figures. In order to build up a picture, the graphic symbol and picture assignment are provided. And three basic transformations (rotation, scaling, translation) are defined so as to manipulate the image. The transformed graphic symbol or picture, so-called instance symbol or a picture. Another transformations, such as clipping, windowing and perspective, enable the user efficient control of the display structure. In this thesis the above facts are explained with useful examples.
