dc.description.abstractPoly(2-fluoro-1,4-phenylenevinylene), PFPV, and PPV copolymers were synthesized via water soluble precursor route and their electrical and non-linear optical properties were characterized. Synthesized polymers were characterized by TGA, DSC, UV-VIS, FT-IR spectrometer and copolymer compositions are analyzed by ESCA. The electrical conductivities of polymers were measured by 4-probe method, and the conductivity of $FeCl_3$ doped polymer films ranged from $10^{-3}$ to $10^1$ S/cm. To measure $χ^(3)$ value of PFPV, the THG technique was used, and this value was $4.76×10^{-12}$ esu. The photoluminesent wavelength of PFPV was 550nm(green) and its life time was 10-30ns.eng
