dc.description.abstract | The significant structure theory of liquids has been applied to the molten amorphous polymers. Expressions of corresponding states for these systems is derived for the equation of state and thermodynamic properties such as expansion coefficient, compressibility, internal pressure, cohesive energy density, and surface tension. The chain flexibility, characteristic temperature, and volume are defined. The obtained values from significant structure theory are reasonably agreed well with experimental results, in comparison with those from other models. | eng |
