dc.description.abstract | Arterial stenosis can lead to various life-threatening complications due to thrombosis. It can be treated with stent expansions, but there is a possibility of re-stenosis in the vessels post-expansion, necessitating continuous observation. In this case, real-time monitoring can be implemented by integrating an inductor-capacitor (LC) wireless pressure sensor with the stent. However, a bulky benchtop instrument, such as a vector network analyzer (VNA), is required, which limits the usage locations and portability. This work proposes an impedance-based sensor monitoring method and has developed a portable monitoring system prototype. Additionally, the design of an integrated circuit has been undertaken to replace some modules in the current prototype system. | - |
