Since the Industrial Revolution, greenhouse gases have been continuously emitted into the Earth's atmosphere, and the average global temperature has risen worldwide. Carbon dioxide, one of the greenhouse gases generated, is worsening climate change. Wet scrubber technology that processes carbon dioxide using absorbents is attracting attention to solve this problem, but the construction and operation costs of facilities inevitably increase due to low liquid-gas contact efficiency. In this thesis, I developed impeller scrubbers with high collection efficiency and space-intensive than currently commercialized technology. In addition, a process for capturing carbon dioxide was developed by optimizing the structure of the impeller through computational fluid mechanics and selecting an absorbent for use in compatibility with electric cells.
