dc.description.abstractIn this thesis, a 12-bit mobile OLED/μLED display driver IC with cascaded loading-free capacitive interpolation (LFCI) DAC and high-slew-rate buffer amplifier is proposed. The compact LFCI DAC is insensitive to loading and mismatch. The 12-bit color-depth is realized by a combination of 7-bit R-DAC and proposed 5-bit LFCI DAC while occupying only 295 × 17μ$m^2$, which is ×2 reduction compared to the state-of-the-art. The tail current boosting technique improves the slew-rate with low power consumption. The 5V amplifier offers a slew-rate of 6.24V/μs at 80pF with a static current of 2μA. Moreover, in-pixel MSB-conversion helps to reduce the area of column driver. The chip fabricated in 180-nm obtains 0.43 LSB, 0.95 LSB, and 7.9mV of maximum DNL, INL, and DVO.-
