the performances of the developed carbons as sodium-ion hybrid capacitor electrodes and hydrogen storage materials are discussed in this dissertation.; Currently, human society faces serious environmental challenges due to the use of fossil fuels. Renewable energy, which is regarded as a way to replace fossil fuels, is difficult to supply continuously, so research into systems that can electrochemically convert and store energy is ongoing. Moreover, the storage of hydrogen energy has also been recognized as superior alternatives to fossil fuels. A metal-organic framework, a type of porous material, is gaining attention in the area of energy storage because it can be converted into porous carbons with a controlled pore structure through a carbonization procedure, which allows for the transport and adsorption of gases or ions. A metal azolate framework, a kind of of the metal-organic frameworks, was selected as a starting material to prepare highly porous materials with doped heteroatom
