The increase in global energy consumption due to population growth, economic development, industrialization, and urbanization has led to severe negative impacts on human health and the environment. Traditional fossil fuels, such as oil, natural gas, and coal, which are widely used to meet this energy demand, cause atmospheric pollutants that result in respiratory and cardiovascular issues, as well as greenhouse gases that bring global warming and natural disasters. To overcome these issues and promote environmentally friendly energy production, renewable energy sources are being actively pursued. Unlike finite fossil fuels, renewable energy sources, such as solar, wind, hydro, geothermal, and biomass, are sustainable energy sources, which can be continuously utilized and have the advantage of being clean, reducing greenhouse gas emissions such as carbon dioxide. To establish a sustainable energy system that enables the production and utilization of electrical energy in an environmentally friendly manner, the development of environmentally friendly energy production technologies and energy storage devices is necessary. Therefore, this thesis aims to develop an energy harvester that converts ambient energy from nature into electrical energy and an energy storage device to save energy produced from the energy harvester. These developments will help establish a sustainable energy system and address environmental, economic, and accessibility issues associated with traditional energy production technologies.
