dc.description.abstract | This paper presents two types of SIMO DC-DC converters that simultaneously generate output voltage and load current. Light therapy devices require a driving voltage of 1.8V for sensor and a high OLED driving voltage. To operate the OLED at a constant intensity of light, a light source driving circuit that converts a driving voltage into a constant load current is required. The developed converters generate 1.8V output voltage through buck mode (buck-boost mode) and high driving voltage of OLED through hybrid-boost mode. In particular, by adding current sensors in hybrid-boost mode and removing the light source driving circuit, the input voltage is converted directly to a constant output current, increasing power efficiency. | - |
