dc.description.abstract | Economic and convenient online structural health monitoring is very essential for safe operation of civil infrastructures. This dissertation addresses hardware and software issues for online structural health monitoring (SHM) techniques using wireless impedance node. Wireless impedance node was developed with the capability of multiplexing, sensing temperature and mass storage. And it was verified for damage detection especially for bolt loosened case and cut damage case. Additionally sensor self-diagnosis method was proposed using developed wireless sensor node. For that, temperature effect was considered. And temperature compensation method and diagnosis criteria were proposed. The results developed and proposed from this thesis are expected to be used for more economic, convenient, and reliable online structural health monitoring. | eng |
