본 발명은 디지털 TV 방송 환경에서 시청자 개개인의 구미에 맞는 비디오 요약을 자율적으로 생성 및 저장하고 추천하는, 시청자 기반의 비디오 요약 제공 시스템에 관한 것으로, 시청자 단말과 방송 서비스 제공자에 위치하는 지능형 에이전트들의 자율적인 상호 작용에 의해, 시청자의 지시 없이 과거의 시청자의 행동을 통계적으로 분석한 시청자 선호도를 기반으로 시청자가 보고 싶어 할만 한 방송 컨텐츠의 요약을 시청자 단말에 제공한다.
