dc.description.abstractIn this paper, a three-orthogonal WPT system is proposed to estimate the angular misalignment of a receiver from the mutual inductance tracking method between transmitters and a receiver. With the estimated angles, the magnetic field is orientated to improve transfer efficiency. The magnetic field generated by the orthogonal coils is theoretically analyzed, and the mutual inductance tracking method is verified with EM simulation in the equivalent circuit of a basic WPT system. The implemented system can track the mutual inductance in real-time, and control input currents for the magnetic field orientation. For verification, the proposed system is implemented to track the mutual inductance, estimate the angular misalignment, and finally shape the magnetic field for the transfer efficiency improvement.-
