dc.description.abstractWe present an ultra-broadband polarization beam splitter using adiabatically tapered waveguides with anisotropic subwavelength grating metamaterials. The bandwidth of {BW}_{20{dB}}approx 200 nm was achieved numerically, which was confirmed experimentally for the spectral range between 1500-1640 nm.-
