Metasurface, a two-dimensionally arranged structures with a thickness and size smaller than the wavelength, allows exhibiting extraordinary optical response. This metasurface can be used to modulate the amplitude, phase, and polarization states of light to a great degree despite their minute thickness. Hence, many researchers are actively conducting the research from fundamental physics to metasurface based applications. In this thesis, we propose a new scheme of metasurface which is integrated with the thin metallic film, and demonstrate active and passive metasurface. The study of two different metasurfaces will be conducted both theoretically and experimentally.
