In this thesis, the novel method of alignment of carbon nano-materials, such as carbon nanotubes and graphene, is introduced for the first time. This novel method is called by Magneto-Evaporation Alignment (MEA) method. There are surface treatment methods of surface on the carbon nanotubes and graphene and synthesis methods of nanoparticles, such as magnetite ($Fe_3O_4$) and hematite ($Fe_2O_3$), for the successful experiment. This novel alignment method is investigated by convolution equipment between various microscopic techniques - optical microscope (OM), scanning electron microscope (SEM), transmission electron microscope (TEM) and atomic force microscope (AFM) and spectroscopy methods - raman spectroscopy, UV-vis-NIR spectroscopy, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The thesis consists of three chapters. At first, chapter 1 of “Introduction” section briefly explain and overview about carbon nano-materials. Chapter 2 introduces the study of alignment of carbon nanotubes. This chapter shows the synthesis of SWNTs/Fe-oxide hybrids and vertical alignment of carbon nanotubes using magneto-evaporation alignment method. Chapter 3 introduces the study of synthesis of GO/Fe-oxide hybrids. This chapter show novel method to fabricate for GO/Fe-oxide hybrids using thermal decomposition. Finally, Chapter 4 which is basic study introduces the effect of the exposure time of hydrazine vapor on the reduction of the graphene oxide (GO) films.
