We introduce ‘Marione.TTF’, a kinetic font module that expresses letters and contexts through body movements of marionettes. By using a marionette connected to a transparent thread, natural movements are created. The Marione.TTF consists of a marionette, a support part containing motors that control thread and a motion detecting sensor, and a ring part that contains track roller bearings. Combinations of tightening and releasing threads connected to one marionette generate motions to present the kinetic font. People can experience realized ‘body language’ by linking a word and the context of movements.
