본 발명은 전극 및 이를 포함하는 리튬 이차전지에 관한 것으로, 보다 상세하게는, 전극 활물질을 담지할 수 있는 구조체를 이용하여 형성된 전극 활성층을 포함하는 전극을 제조함으로써, 상기 전극 활물질이 구조체 내부에 담지되는 형태적인 특성으로 인하여, 전지의 안전성 및 충방전 특성을 개선할 수 있다.
