본 발명은 핵연료 저장용기용 흡수재 및 그 제조방법에 관한 것으로, 본 발명의 핵연료 저장용기용 흡수재는, 금속 기지; 상기 금속 기지에 분산된 붕소보다 높은 중성자 흡수능을 가지는 원소를 포함하는 제1 분산재; 및 상기 금속 기지에 분산된 붕소를 포함하는 제2 분산재;를 포함하고, 상기 제1 분산재의 부피% 는 상기 제2 분산재의 부피% 보다 작은 것이다.
