dc.description.abstractIn this paper, a wideband E-shaped patch antenna with parasitic strip for a 60-GHz unlicensed band is presented. An E-shaped patch antenna is adopted for a wideband application. The parasitic strip is added beside the E-shaped patch antenna to improve the impedance bandwidth of the E-shaped patch antenna element. With the parasitic strip, a 0.5-dB gain and 9.3% of the bandwidth is further improved from the E-shaped antenna. The proposed antenna shows a 31.1% impedance bandwidth, 8.8-dBi peak gain, and 26.6% 3-dB gain bandwidth.-
