dc.description.abstract | An azimuth pattern reconfigurable antenna has been developed to scan a hemispherical space on a wide metal surface. The reconfigurable pattern was created by using a magnetic dipole antenna with a wide elevation angle on a large metal ground and by controlling the magnetic current direction. A feeding network supplies three different type signals to the port to make four patterns. The antenna was fabricated and measured. Each far-field beam pattern was measured half-power beam width(HPBW) about 150° in the elevation pattern. The proposed antenna radiates in all directions of hemispherical shape when using four modes since the antenna can cover 90° in azimuth plane in each mode. | - |
