dc.description.abstractInterleaved totem-pole bridgeless PFC converter (interleaved totem-pole BPFC) achieves high efficiency at low line because it has small conduction loss of switch. However, at high line, interleaved totem-pole BPFC converter has low efficiency because inductor core loss occupies large portion of the total power loss. In this study, a new bridgeless boost PFC converter which has high efficiency at universal line is proposed. The proposed converter operates the same as interleaved totem-pole BPFC converter at low line. However, at high line, the proposed converter operates as a totem-pole BPFC by topology variation. By the topology variation, the proposed converter achieves high efficiency for the universal input voltage. To confirm the validity of this study, the prototype of proposed converter with $115 / 230V_{AC}$ input and $400V_{DC} / 1.6kW$ output was tested.-
