This thesis discusses electrochemical catalysis in enery conversion technology. The Oxygen Evolution Reaction (OER) is considered most importantly in electrochemical catalysis. Huge research has been progressed to improve catalytic activity because basically sluggish OER determines the various reaction rate. Two strategies to improve electrocatalytic activity are increasing the number of active sites and intrinsic activity of active sites. In this research, to increase the number of active sites, Zeolitic Imidazolate Frameworks were utilized as nano-reactor for synthesis of non-aggregated nanoparticle. In addition, to increase the intrinsic activity, Cu-Co bimetallic complex was designed. Non-aggregated Cu-Co bimetallic complex nanoparticle was successfully synthesized on ZIF-8 shell using ZIF67@ZIF8 core shell. To verifying catalytic activity for OER, electrochemical analysis was conducted. Cu-Co bimetallic complex showed up to 48mV reduced overpotential compared to catalyst without copper and confirmed that catalytic activity was improved.
