We developed a process to efficiently produce α-neoagarobiose hydrolase from Alcanivorax A28-3. Conventionally, a process for obtaining an enzyme in a strain includes cultivation, centrifugation, cell disruption, and purification.Traditional methods require an alternative, because cell disruption and purification steps have several limitations: costly, time consuming and protein denaturation. In this study, we have developed a novel platform via secretion system using a signal peptide and cell surface display system using an anchoring motif. Finally, the enzymes we obtained decompose neoagarobiose into galactose and 3,6-anhydro-L-galactose with galactose mol conversion of about 47% . This study has developed a system that can easily and cheaply obtain enzymes without the process of cell disruption and enzyme purification. In the near future, this study will be successfully applied to the production of 3,6-anhydro-L-galactose, a new material.
