dc.description.abstract | Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) are multipotent adult stem cells with high potential for stem cell therapies. Additional to the differentiation capacity of MSCs, extracellular matrix (ECM) remodeling property of MSCs plays important role in successful stem cell therapies. MSCs adapt and respond to the changes in the extracellular matrix (ECM) and remodel the ECM in their favor. Yet, very little attention was given to the ECM production and its effect on MSCs. To understand the ECM remodeling property of MSCs, in vivo mimicking nano-engineered decellularized-matrix was produced. Increased of ECM production on nanopattern and alteration of ECM related gene expressions were observed. | - |
