The supersonic inviscid flow around blunt bodies, governed by Euler equations, has been calculated. A computer program is developed using time-dependent BVLR method. For the subsonic/supersonic mixed flow region, unsteady terms are introduced to make the governing partial differential equations parabolic in time. Thus, a timewise marching is made until a steady-state solution is achieved in the elliptic-hyperbolic subregion. The purely supersonic flow has been determined by spatial marching method from the known data in the initial plane. Shock positions, surface pressure distribution and other flow quantities of interest are obtained for the family of hemi-ellipsoid/circular-cylinder bodies and modified tangent ogives. Comparison with data from other numerical method has been made.
