This paper presents a theoretical model of a stacked dielectric resonator antenna that predicts resonance frequencies, radiation pattern, and directivity. An open boundary model to predict the resonance frequency is introduced and compared with the simulated results. In addition, to analysis the gain enhancement phenomenon of the antenna, radiation pattern and directivity are calculated. The results of the theory correspond approximately with the simulated results.-
