Since 1990s, stereo image acquirement from satellites has become increasingly important. Stereo images can be used to extract digital elevation data to create a digital elevation model (DEM) or used for Earth mapping, Earth monitoring and so on. To generate a stereo image, a target must be viewed from at least twice from slightly different angles. In this paper, a conventional optimal multi satellite scheduling problem is modified to accommodate stereo imaging constraints. A description and formulation of the problem is provided with simulation results.
