One-dimensional nanomaterials have been studied for potential application in electrodes, sensors, and transistors due to their large surface to volume ratio and charge transportability along the long axis. A representative of one-dimensional nanomaterials includes silver nanowires, which have high electrical conductivity, excellent transmittance, and can be deposited on the flexible substrate. Quantum rods, one-dimensional luminescent materials, show photoluminescence governed by quantum confinement effect, and thus varied with respect to their diameter and length. In this work, we enhance applicability of silver nanowire electrodes to polymer light-emitting diodes by engineering the interface of the electrode, and figure out the feasibility of novel type of display coordinated with highly efficient blue-emitting quantum rods.
