본 발명은 투광성 다결정질 세라믹 섬광체 및 그 제조방법에 관한 것으로, 보다 상세하게는 유로피움이 활성화제로 첨가된 산화가돌리늄-이트리움 세라믹 섬광체로서 산화가돌리늄이 50％이상인 조성에서도 입방정 구조를 유지하면서 광학적으로 투명하며, 발광특성이 가시광선 영역에서 우수하여 발광출력이 매우 높은 섬광체 조성물 및 그 제조방법을 제공한다.
