프로그램머블 가변 이득 증폭기는 입력 트랜지스터 쌍으로 구성된 입력측 제1 트랜지스터 어레이와 다이오드의 연결 부하로 구성된 출력측 제2 트랜지스터 어레이를 포함하며, 제1 트랜지스터 어레이와 제2 트랜지스터 어레이를 구성하는 각각의 트랜지스터의 크기와 바이어스 전류를 제어 비트의 선택에 따라 가변한다.
