| dc.description.abstract | 본 발명은 번호판 검출을 위한 영상 압축 시스템 및 그 방법에 관한 것으로서, 차량 영상의 압축을 수행함에 있어, 중요 정보를 포함하는 번호판 영역을 타 영역과 상이한 방식으로 압축함으로써, 차량 영상에서 관심 영역인 번호판 영역의 손실을 최소화할 수 있으며, 복호화 후 번호판 인식의 성능을 향상시킬 수 있도록 함에 그 목적이 있다.이러한 목적을 달성하기 위한 본 발명은, 번호판 영역이 포함된 차량 영상에서, 번호판 영역을 추출하는 번호판 영역 추출부; 추출된 번호판 영역 정보를 예측하는 번호판 영역정보 예측부; 예측된 번호판 영역 정보와, 예측된 번호판 영역 및 실제 번호판 영역정보와의 잔차(residual) 신호를 압축하는 번호판 영역 압축부; 및 상기 차량 영상의 비 번호판 영역을 압축하는 비 번호판 영역 압축부; 를 포함하되, 상기 번호판 영역 및 비 번호판 영역은, 상이한 방식으로 압축되는 것을 특징으로 한다. | - |
