패널 표면에 가상 스피커를 형성하는 음향 방사 장치 및 방법이 제공된다. 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 음향 방사 장치는, 패널에서 가진기들을 개별적으로 진동시켜, 패널 표면에 가상 스피커를 생성한다. 이에 의해, 기존의 스피커 유닛이 배치될 수 없는 구조물이나, 사용자에게 만족스러운 음향 정보를 제공할 수 없는 상황에 있어, 기기나 기계 혹은 사물을 이루는 평판이나 곡판 형의 표면 상에 가상 스피커를 형성할 수 있게 된다.
