이동 가능 기지국의 높이 결정 방법 및 고도 변경이 가능한 기지국 또는 중계기에 관한 발명으로, 기지국 높이 결정 방법은, 기지국 높이에 따른 음영 구역의 넓이를 산출하는 단계와, 단말기의 요구 수신 전력, 단말기와의 거리 및 경로 손실(path loss)에 기초하여 필요 송신 전력을 산출하는 단계와, 음영 구역의 넓이와 필요 송신 전력이 최적화되는 기지국 높이를 결정하는 단계를 포함한다. 기지국 높이 결정 방법에 따르면, 음영 구역을 최소화하면서 전력 사용도 최소화하는 기지국의 높이를 결정할 수 있다.
