본 발명은 α1G T-타입 칼슘 채널을 억제(α1G T-type calcium channel)하여 본태성 진전증(essential tremor)을 예방 및 치료하는 방법, α1G T-타입 칼슘 채널 억제제를 유효성분으로 함유하는 본태성 진전증 예방 및 치료제, 및 α1G T-타입 칼슘 채널 억제 활성을 조사하여 본태성 진전증 예방 및 치료제의 스크리닝 방법에 관한 것으로서, 보다 상세하게는 본 발명은 α1G T-타입 칼슘 채널이 결손된(α1G -/-) 생쥐가 본태성 진전증에 대한 저항성을 가지고, 정상(α1G +/+) 생쥐에 T-타입 채널을 억제제를 투여했을 때 본태성 진전증에 저항성을 가지는 것을 확인함으로써, α1G T-타입 칼슘 채널 억제제를 이용하여 본태성 진전증을 예방 및 치료할 수 있는 방법에 관한 것이다. α1G T-타입 칼슘 채널, 본태성 진전증, α1G T-타입 칼슘 채널이 결손 된(α1G -/-) 생쥐
