We first develop a systems theory of the dielectrophoretic force, which is the force coming from the interaction between a time-varying electric field and the induced dipole in a particle. In this framework, we propose a method of separating T-lymphocytes and red blood cells with multiple-frequency travelling wave dielectrophoresis.-
