Vapor-phase oxidative polymerization is a versatile technique that can be used to obtain conducting coatings of polypyrrole (PPy), $\pi$ -conjugated conducting polymer, on both conducting and non-conducting substrates. Herein, we could fabricate inverse opal structure PPy on conducting and non-conducting substrates via vapor-phase oxidative polymerization using colloidal templating method. The pore size and film height of PPy could be adjusted with colloidal templating method. Also, we introduced polyaniline (PANI), which is conducting polymer, onto the surface of PPy. The porous PPy/PANI film showed specific capacitance of 256.18 F/g., whereas the porous PPy film showed specific capacitance of 212.22 F/g. The synergistic effects between PPy and PANI and the shape effects of inverse opal structure are essential for the performance of PPy/PANI film.
