Metal ion triggers for reversible switching of DNA polymerase

We herein develop a new strategy that modulates DNA polymerase activity in a reversible and switchable manner by using the novel interactions between DNA bases and metal ions (T-Hg2+-T and C-Ag+-C) inside a DNA aptamer capable of inhibiting DNA polymerase
