In this talk, I will present the recent progress in the interface engineering for graphene electronics and applications to soft electronic devices and platforms [1]. Graphene has huge potential to be exploited for the human-friendly soft electronic and optoelectronic systems due to their unique electrical, optical, and mechanical properties. However, there are several fundamental or technological issues to be addressed in real applications of 2D materials to the soft electronics and optoelectronics. Recently, we proposed new approaches for the integration of high-k dielectrics on graphene using a functionalized graphene monolayer as an ultrathin seed layer on top of the graphene channel [2] and novel methods for graphene transfer on various substrates with high degrees of freedom [3]. Graphene transistors fabricated using these methods show narrower distribution of Dirac voltages and enhanced device performances. In addition, I will discuss the reliability of graphene transistors, based on a bias-stress-induced instability analysis.-
