dc.description.abstract | A power efficient, controllable transcranial magnetic stimulation device design is proposed which can reuse the energy for monophasic repetitive TMS (rTMS), as well as control pulse shape including width and slope. In addition, energy recycling circuit can function as DC-DC converter, which implies no need of additional power supply circuit. By adjusting duty at the every cycle, it does not have any current offset, thus reduces the energy consumption due to the parastic resistance. The device design is verified through custom-made prototype circuit of which the energy-recycling rate is 16%. The maximum energy-recycling rate would be 49.64%, assuming no parasitic resistance except ESR of used components. In addition, current flowing through inductor is not accu-mulated due to adaptive duty cycle control during DC-DC conversion. | eng |
