dc.description.abstractNowadays, Increasing of personal user equipment like smart phones and table pc, data traffic requirements also increases rapidly. This causes wireless communication data rate decreases especially in mobile traffic concentration zone or blind zone. One of suggestion to solve this problem is femto cell base station. This femto cell base station is much smaller than macro cell base station and it also has very small power consumption. Locating this femto cell base station in blind zone and data traffic concentration zone, macro cell can lessen its burden to provide wireless communication service for users. Also, the quality of wireless communication service improves because they can devide their coverage. In this thesis, there are two main suggested antenna for femto cell base station. One of them is based on bow tie antenna, it has dual polarization and high antenna isolation. This antenna consists of two orthogonally located bow tie antenna. Two bow tie antenna are designed on both side of pcb substrate. It operates from 1.6 GHz to 2.3 GHz with less than -30 dB isolation. The other antenna is based on sleeve antenna. The suggested sleeve antenna has radiator near main driver antenna. This causes wide band characteristics and good antenna skirt property. These features lessen filter`s burden in base station system. Reconfigurable frequency selective reflector which can operate conductor or transparent is also designed. If sleeve antenna adopt RFSR, it can change its radiation beam pattern.eng
