Nowadays, global warming becomes significant problem in the world. It changes climate of many countries so that they are suffered from various natural disasters. According to the International Energy Agency (IEA) scenario, the transport including automobile would be 21% share of overall $CO_2$ reduction by 2050. As a result, Unite States (US), European Union (EU), China, Japan, South Korea, and other countries have proposed and established fuel economy and new car $CO_2$ emission standard which is very challenging compared with former regulation. This means there should be significant changes in vehicle and propulsion type. The International Council on Clean Transportation (ICCT) shows the expected new $CO_2$ emission rate of the vehicles in many countries. The EU and Japan show very tight regulations in the present and future. The US is expected to have the highest reduction of $CO_2$ emission until 2025. According to the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), only 5% of vehicles made in 2013 could meet $CO_2$ emission target in 2025. This report also presents that the electric vehicles of hybrids electric vehicle (HEV), plug-in hybrids electric vehicle (PHEV), and battery electric vehicle (BEV) can meet the target in 2025, while the vehicle used gasoline engine cannot meet the target with current technologies. Therefore, the automobile industry has been performing a lot of projects of development of HEV, PHEV, and BEV. Currently, the EV development is led by the Electric Vehicles Initiative (EVI) which is a multi-government policy forum including 15 members of governments from North America, Asia, Europe, and Africa as well as IEA. They expect EV sales increases to 5.9 million units by 2020. As EV sales increases, the electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) market becomes also increases. In the EVSE, a battery charging method can be classified into the wired AC charging, the DC charging, and the wireless charging. The wired AC charging uses AC source on ...eng
