Carbon nanomaterials such as carbon nanotube(CNT) and graphenehave been received much attention as new materials to overcome the limitation of traditional fillersin nanocompositesdue to their excellent mechanical, thermal, electrical and chemical properties. The important issues of carbon nanomaterials fillednanocomposites, regarding their synthesis process, are homogeneous dispersion of carbon nanomaterialsin matrices and control of interfacial characteristics between fillers and matrices. The technological issues on the fabrication processes and properties of carbon nanomaterialsfilled nanocomposites are reviewed. Various types of CNT and graphenefilled nanocompositesare fabricated and their mechanical andelectricalproperties are characterized. The carbon nanomaterialsfilled nanocompositesare emerging advanced materials to be applied in variousstructural and functional application areas such as supercapacitors, Li-ion battery electrodes, stretchable conductors, solar cells and field emitters.
