The purpose of this study is to give students a variety of opportunities in the various fields such as humanity education and originality education. A 5-day school week policy has been widely adopted for providing the better quality of education. However, there are several practical problems of the policy such as additional expenses for after-school educations and home-alone adolescents of dual-income family. In order to cope with these problems, a smart school fitness center model has been proposed. The model basically contains exercise capacity and body shape evaluations, and autonomic nervous system assessment for physical and mental health management, respectively. Further it utilizes emotional mechanisms of youth such as collaboration, competition, fun, and communication for encouraging continuous participation in the model. The proposed model helps adolescents to have emotional stability and their good relationship through customized fitness programs and interesting games. The smart school fitness center model is now under development with Korea Sports Promotion Foundation support.-
