A vibro-acoustic metamaterials based on single crystal PMN-PT structures and shunt circuits was de-signed to enhance the performance of transmission reduction for acoustic wave. The vibro-acoustic metamaterials composed of periodically arrayed one-dimensional single crystal PMN-PT structures exhibit unique wave propagation characteristics such as bandgap that are non-existent in the natural condition. A single crystal PMN-PT is connected to the external shunt circuit to improve the resonance performance of a single crystal PMN-PT structure. By adjusting the values of elements consisting of shunt circuit, the dynamic behaviors of single crystal PMN-PT structure could be varied. The Effect on preventing the acoustic wave propagating along a waveguide was strengthened through the performance of improved single crystal PMN-PT structure. The metamaterials system integrated with acoustic wave, piezoelectric material (single crystal PMN-PT) and electric circuit were theoretically investigated by using lumped parameter method (LPM) to verify the wave propagation characteristics of the acoustic wave. Furthermore, FEM simulations for the interaction of the three systems in the vibro-acoustic metamaterials were implemented to compare the effective admittance. The wave propagation characteristics of the vibro-acoustic metamaterials with single crystal PMN-PT structures were verified through the results of numerical analyses.
