dc.description.abstractZnO nanowires are one of the most well known semiconducting nanostructure, due to its easiness in fabrication, variety of applications and low cost in both material itself and fabrication process, Hydrothermal process. In this study, this Hydrothermal process, which is a large scale process, was utilized to reduce area of ZnO nanowires growth into an extreme scale as on a single metal nanowire, Ag nanowire in this study, resulting in a micro heterostructure composing of ZnO nanowires epitaxially attached on a Ag nanowire. This fabrication process employed Laser heating process with elevated background temperature. And with a successful result of creating the heterostructure of these two nanowires, the structure was applied for UV sensing application.eng
