dc.description.abstractThe problem of electromagnetic (EM) plane wave scattering by an open-ended, perfectly-conducting, semi-infinite two-dimensional (2-D) parallel plate waveguide with a thin uniform layer of lossy material on its inner walls is analysed using a high frequency method. The fields coupled into the waveguide from the exterior are found via the uniform geometrical theory of diffraction (UTD) ray method.-
