In this paper, a speech-based human computer conversation system is proposed. Based on maximum likelihood and beam-forming source directioin estimation, when a speaker asks a question from a certain direction, the system estimates the direction of the speaker. Afterward the system recognizes the speech that is the output of beam-forming, synthesize the proper answer, and speaks it.
