Multi-input multi-output (MIMO) system provides high spectral efciencies by transmitting independent data through different antennas. However, for reliable communications, low error rate is needed as well as high spectral efficiency. As such a system, full-diversity full-rate (FDFR) code, which can achieve both high data rate and good reliability, was introduced. However, the FDFR code suffers from high decoding complexity. Especially, in the large number antennas system, decoding complexity is signicantly critical issue. Also, in high diversity region, the performance gain is slight according to increasing diversity order. In this paper, we propose space time block code (STBC) which requires lower decoding complexity. It aims at diminishing the number of signals, which are decoded at one time. The reduction of decoding complexity is large and the performance degradation is reduced, as the number of antenna increases in comparison with the conventional FDFR code.
